The Legacy of Clãr-ay

Originally famous in the Middle Ages, Clairet, or "French Claret," was a favorite among the English elite.

It gained new life in the 1950s when Roger Amiel revived the wine in the small town of Quinsac, near Saint-Emilion. His creation, Clairet, found commerical success during the '60s and '70s. Now, his great granddaughter Melodie carries on the family torch, reintroducing this timeless yet avant-garde wine to the modern world.
